Bangalore first.
HUFA works in Bangalore. If you are in Bangalore, with a pincode that starts with 560, HUFA works where you are. That is the whole of the service area today, and it is on purpose.
Here is what “first” means and why we chose one city.
A Hufer job is local by nature. Someone has to be at a flat in Mathikere between 10 and 1. Someone has to drive a car from Jayanagar to a service centre and back by evening. The job is worth doing only if a Hufer can get there in time. Distance decides everything.
That means HUFA is not one marketplace. It is many small ones, one for each area, each with enough Hufers close by that a job posted now is accepted soon. Build those areas one at a time, and each one works. Spread thin across many cities, and none of them do.
So we start with the city we know. The founder lives here. The first Hufers live here. The two situations that led to HUFA both happened here: an uncle’s eye checkup with nobody free to take him, and a rental agreement that had to be signed while the only person who could sign it was sick in bed.
Bangalore also tests the idea well. It is spread out. Traffic turns a short distance into a long trip. People move here for work and often live far from family. Many of the jobs on the board come from exactly that: a person who would have asked a brother or a neighbour, and has neither nearby.
What does “first” mean in practice?
It means every Hufer is verified by a person from HUFA, and today that person is in Bangalore. It means the onboarding call, the safety checks and the grievance process all run from one place and get better from one place. It means that when something goes wrong on a job, there is a person who knows the area and can act.
It also means the areas page lists real areas, not a map with every city lit up. Indiranagar, HSR, Koramangala, Whitefield, Malleshwaram, JP Nagar, Yelahanka, BTM and the rest. If your area is in Bangalore, you can post a job there today.
The flow is the same everywhere in the city. You post a job in a sentence with a starting price. A Hufer nearby accepts. You agree the final price on a call or chat. The Start PIN begins the work, the End PIN closes it, and you pay in the app.
What about the second city?
It will come when the first one is dense. Not when a list of cities looks long enough. The signal we watch is simple: how long a job waits before a Hufer accepts it, area by area. When that number is low across Bangalore, the same work starts somewhere else.
Until then, “Bangalore first” is a promise about how we build. One city, done properly, before the next one.
If you are in Bangalore and need a person there, write what you need. If you are in Bangalore and want to take jobs, sign up and a person from HUFA will call you.

- There is no list. Most apps start with a grid of trades. HUFA starts with the sentence you would say to a friend. Why that is the whole front door.
- Two PINs, one job.Every job has a Start PIN and an End PIN, four digits each, held by the requester. What they are for and what follows from them.
- What a Hufer job is.Ten jobs, read together, show the shape of the work: being there for someone who cannot be. And who takes them.
